Page 1 of 3 ![]() In Jamaica, umpires are required to sit and pass theoretical and practical examinations to earn awards. An umpire could attain one of the following awards: A, B, C, Advance, Jamaica or International. The level of the award is determined by the quality of the candidate's performance during the tests. The passing mark for the theory examination is 80%. All umpires must earn a pass in this test to become eligible for testing for an award. All tests attract a minimal fee. Administration of Umpiring in Jamaica Umpiring in Jamaica is overseen by the JNA's Council, but its day to day administration is managed by a sub-committee.
