To ensure the proper management and administration of the coaching portfolio, the JNA has developed a Code of Ethics which is to be observed and practiced by all coaches (Question: Only national Coaches or club coaches too).
It is realized that Coaches serve a number of very important roles: those of teachers, role models, mentors, guardians and trainees.
Good coaches are always looking to provide athletes with the mental and physical tools capabilities that will equip them to learn, to compete, to win, and to uphold the highest spirit of sportsmanship.
The following tenets should therefore guide all Coaches in the interaction with all persons and groups associated with the sport of netball.
- Treat each athlete as an individual and help him/her to reach their full potential.
- Treat each athlete with respect thus encouraging reciprocal behavior.
- Ensure that confidentiality with players is maintained.
- Promote fair play and demonstrate respect for all other teams.
- Accept both the guidelines and the rules that define and govern the sport.
- Keep current with the latest coaching techniques, rule changes and continuously seek to improve on them.

- Ensure that training and competitions are suitable for the age and fitness level of the athletes.
- Help athletes to understand the benefit of sport.
- Encourage athletes to participate in sport throughout their lives.

- Maintain athletes' interest and promote their enthusiasm towards sports.
- Do not over train athletes.
- Encourage athletes to observer good personal habits
- Encourage athletes to maintain a healthy lifestyle and diet/meal plan.
- Always lead by example.
- Do not use foul or disrespectful language when communicating with athletes, administrators, officials, spectators or others.
